I really love graphic design. When I was a kid, I loved just about anything creative, but couldn't imagine it was possible to grow up to do something so cool. So I took another path, graduating with Honors in English from the University of Kansas. A Publicity Internship with Andrews McMeel Publishing (AMP) my senior year blossomed into a full-time Publicist position.
Through publicity, I discovered marketing design and focused my professional energies on what I loved the most—being creative. I became an Art Director at AMP within two years and was promoted to Senior Art Director two years after that. Over my eight years at AMP, I gained a unique marketing perspective—I possess advanced skills in copywriting, publicity, complex project management, and marketing design ranging from advertisements to catalogs to logos (and everything in between).
Pop! Creative Design was born from this experience. My clients range from publishers, to running organizations, to law firms;
my style is highly adaptable to any client, and I'm known for being highly efficient and very reliable. I operate with the joy of doing
what I love, and I apply that energy to every job that I do.
A proud member of the Olathe Chamber of Commerce, the National Organization
of Professional Women, and the Kansas City Freelance Exchange, I operate
Pop! from my home office, assisted by a red heeler named Molly and a
beagle mix named Maestro, who both work for dog biscuits (don't tell the
Feds!). My charming web developer husband Stefan lends his considerable
knowledge as well, when he isn't handling payroll for the dogs.
